Stay over

 

Although the GME is a one-day event, it is definitely worth to think about staying over. That way you can experience the GME from start until the very end. You also have an extra day to do a lot of nice caches in the vicinity, or you can explore the city of Naarden-Vesting and her surroundings. On this page we shall gradually put information about staying over possibilities and the highlights of the surroundings.

 

Stay over

Unfortunately, staying over at the terrain of the GME is not possible. Therefore you shall have to go to one of the campings, hotels or bed-and-breakfasts in the neighbourhood. Several possibilities:

 

Camping de Woensberg
10 km from the GME-terrain – 10 minute drive - N 52° 16.914 E 5° 14.568

This camping lies on the edge of Huizen and Blaricum and has over 200 places available.  There are also a few hiking cabins available, suitable for 4 persons. All you need then is your own sleeping bag.

4 km from the GME terrain – 8 minute drive - N 52° 18.444 E 5° 08.204

 

Bed and Breakfast

Not that much cheaper than a hotel, but a lot more personal: a Bed and Breakfast. In Naarden there are two locations available, in Bussum there are three.
